Between the ups and downs of work, pregnancy, childcare, and their husbands’ busy schedules (both are players for the New England Patriots), these families were overdue for some rest and relaxation. That’s why they recently checked into Meadowstone Manor to indulge in a private mountainside getaway with their closest friends and family in Stowe, Vermont. Here’s a glimpse at how the group enjoyed their luxury vacation in the Green Mountains.

Arrival day at Meadowstone is all about settling in and getting acquainted with the deluxe features of this upscale vacation rental, which sits on 30 acres of private woodlands. Our dedicated concierge made this easy by providing a tour of the property, familiarizing guests with the amenities, and labeling the accommodations with name cards so everyone knew which of the 14 bedrooms was theirs.

With logistics out of the way, Stidhman, Andrews, and their guests were left to enjoy a cozy evening by one of the wood-burning fireplaces.

The first full day started with a private yoga class at Meadowstone’s very own studio as the group waited for the rest of the guests to arrive. Meadowstone’s ideal location means visitors can easily access the estate from several major cities and points of interest. The quaint town of Burlington and its international airport are only 45 minutes away, while Boston can be reached in about a 3-hour drive and Montreal is even closer with a 2.5-hour drive.

Once everyone was gathered together, the group soaked in the hot tubs with mimosas in hand before finally heading downtown—a 5-minute drive—to stroll the picture-perfect streets, peek inside the boutique shops, and grab dinner.

The next day, the group got a small taste of Stowe’s bustling craft beer scene with a tour of the von Trapp Brewery followed by lunch at the facility’s Austrian-themed Bierhall. When everyone worked up an appetite again, our dedicated concierge arranged for local chef Erica Caridi to prepare an impressive multi-course dinner at Meadowstone. The group gathered around the massive dining room table for the meal, then opted for a nightcap of cocktails and billiards at Night Owl Pub—Meadowstone’s onsite pub. It was the perfect way to end their last evening at this high-end property.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, so after preparing a hearty breakfast in Meadowstone’s professional grade kitchen, Stidhman, Andrews, and their guests said their goodbyes.
